Beltane May Day – Northern Hemisphere

Beltane is the first day of May and as such, in the northern hemisphere, it’s the signal of summer, even though it’s not the official calendar day of summer. The Celtic tradition of Beltane means “bright fire”, so lighting bonfires, candles or the arrival of sunrise heralds the warming and lengthening of the day.

This is growing season and in modern times, this growing relates to influential messaging, business success and sales. May is your month to make it count – grow, grow, grow.

Samhain – Southern Hemisphere

In the southern hemisphere, May 1^st signals the beginning of the Wheel of the Year with Samhain. The veil between worlds is the thinnest and is a celebration of the ending of autumn and the beginning of winter from a spiritual perspective. Remembering ancestors and giving thanks for their lineage is the way to welcome this time.

All Planets Direct May 1 – 3

You have 3 more days without any planets stationing retrograde. Lean into this energy to boost your success-making activities. With the Sun in Aries, this fiery energy amplifies your momentum. Take advantage of this influence. It sets you up for success for the rest of the year. Week 1: May 1 – May 11

Taking a longer look at what’s in front of you sets you up for your best outcome. Your connections, resources and strategies come together to when you slow down and make things happen for you based on your visions and dreams. No sudden movements or big changes are necessary when you align with your soul mission. Your path is clear, so much so, you can take time to whisper sweet nothings to loved ones without missing a beat at work.

Week 2: May 12 – 18

The Full Moon starts your week off with deep insights and simple solutions. You comprehend your life differently than you expected. Ideas seem to pop out of nowhere and they’re actually worth exploring. The cosmos set you up for freedom and originality and you can actually tap into your inner warrior. Being strong without the associating stoicism gets you closer to realizing your full potential. Stay connected to your heart while pursuing your dreams.

Week 3: May 19 – 25

Support comes from surprising places, while hard work and effort pay off. Good advice and sound leadership comes through self-discipline and paying attention to details. When the Sun moves into Gemini on the 20^th, you love your head. There’s so much activity, the noise and distractions push you off center. Keep your footing so you can stay on your best path. Breaking through limits requires you to be flexible and adapt to changing circumstances. The stars are filled with opportunity this week.

Week 4: May 26 – June 1

The week kicks off with the New Moon in Gemini, and Mercury is the star ALL week, making this a busy, busy, busy time. Your calendar is full, your emails, text messages and voice mail overflow and your head spins with all of the ideas coming your way. You can sell anything to anyone, however, concentrate on your ideal client. Focus on the long term when closing deals. All sales aren’t good sales. Walk away when the stakes are high and the profits are low.

Moon magic

The Moon is incredibly powerful as she moves the tides on earth. Think about that power for a moment. The Moon moves the ocean and since people are 70% water, the Moon moves each person whether you’re aware of it or not. The Moon is also amazingly personal as she represents your heart.

The earthly kingdoms help you shift your vibration through their power and move your energy from your mind into your heart. The animal kingdom help you get things done, the crystals help you realize your intentions by adding their energy to yours.

The power of animal and crystal energy are easy to employ to help you create the success and satisfaction you desire. Spirit animals are always willing to assist. Simply call on the animal to bring their power into focus and ponder the animal meaning. When you’re facing issues, the animal energy can help navigate through or around them.

For crystals, grab the crystal and put it on your desk, purse or kitchen table. The crystal can be activated through your intentional goals or your dreams or wishes. The crystal holds this intention for you for the entire month. Crystals can also support your ability to release blocks so you can clear your pathway. When you want to align with your success and this month’s stone helps you do that.

Flower essences are gentle, yet incredibly powerful to help your emotional body. They smooth out thoughts and emotions as they help you align with your soul. I adore flower essences because they represent their mature growth in nature to give you their healing properties without having to leave your home or office.

To take flower essences, simply put 3 drops into water 3 times a day and feel the gentle support for your body and emotions.

Monthly Oracle Card: 11 Trust

Safety and belonging are the keys to trust. How can you connect to feel safe and deepen your sense of belonging? This is an internal exploration, not an external one. Look within to find your answers. This isn’t about other, it’s about you.

Look for signs and symbols happening all around you to help you gain trust in yourself and the universe. The number 11 on the card supports this observation. Open your eyes and your senses to open yourself to manifesting your dreams and desires. Take care as your thoughts are creating the way life shows up for you.

Take note of the ways to open yourself to trust:

Intuitive tool: Whisper trust to yourself repeatedly for 11 days. Stand in front of the mirror and say, “I trust myself. I trust others. I trust the Universe.” See what comes to you.

Practical tip: Open yourself to someone close to you and tell them what makes you feel safe. Perhaps it’s a hug, kiss or sitting by a warm fire on a cold night or eating a popsicle on a hot summer day. These things don’t have to be big, they may be simple, yet affirming.

Spirit Animal: Nightingale

Nightingale reminds you to find your voice for its melodic sound, but more importantly, for how it makes you feel when you’re speaking in your truth. This is the first month without any personal planet retrogrades since mid-November, so communication finally comes together and Nightingale helps you with your ability to communicate.

Making this month count means finding your voice and speaking up for yourself. This isn’t about shouting from the rooftops, it’s about finding the right tenor, tone and cadence for you. Your voice is more than sound, it’s also resonance. The vibration and frequency you put out comes back to you in a multitude of ways.

The nightingale was the spirit animal of 2023, which was the year of power. This is the ignition of the season of power this year providing another reason nightingale is fitting for May.

Crystal: Petrified Wood

Petrified wood carries the remembrance of ancient wisdom as the wood solidifies into crystalline structure over time as minerals are absorbed into the wood and fossilized. This crystal has powers to help you walk through time and space through your past lives and ancestral lineage. Gaining access to the wisdom of the earth as well as your wisdom for your time here on earth is invaluable. Making this month count is supported by petrified wood.

Additionally, this crystal talks to your root chakra to deepen your roots and to help you align with your power. Petrified wood exemplifies earth, so you can reach for it whenever you feel ungrounded or off center.

Flower Essence: Honeysuckle

Honeysuckle helps you deal with change and stay on top of your soul mission. Your soul knows the way, but your mind prevents you from getting there.

Your mind reviews what’s happened for you in the past and your thoughts linger on these moments. Typically, your thoughts aren’t supportive or forward thinking. They also aren’t action-oriented. Honeysuckle helps you realign your thoughts with what’s happening now and what you want to be doing to take action to live your soul mission.

Making May count requires action and movement and when you’re out of alignment, your actions make you go in the wrong direction. Getting off track isn’t something you can afford to do right now.
